Visit to American Museum of Natural History

By Diana Patricia Acevedo Ramirez

Actually, I’ve always wanted to be a scientist. I haven’t gone too much museums of the world, but I’ve visited the American Museum of Natural History one of the largest and most famous museums in the world. This wonderful place is located in New York City and comprises 25 interconnected buildings with 46 permanent exhibition halls, research laboratories and a library.

I haven’t seen all the museum collections that contain over 32 million specimens because only a small fraction can be displayed by the visitors. I’ve always wanted be between the 200 scientist staff of Museum and although I’ve studied Entomology I’ve never tried to apply for this job.

I’ve visited the Hall of African Mammals and fossil Hall too but I’ve felt scare when I see the dinosaurs fossils, in special Rex fossil. It’s amazing. I’ve seen wonderful rocks in the Hall of Meteorites and the Hall of Gems and Minerals but I’ve had a lot of fun in the Hall of Ocean Life, it is very beauty and incredible place.

I’ve had a lot of fun in the Natural History Museum. But I want to go to Natural History Museum in London the next year. My friend George lives there. He has invited me several times, but I haven’t had enough money to go.
